Dear Family and Friends,

I’m sorry we won’t be able to write much tonight…….we only have a few minutes to post pictures before the internet cafe closes and we’d like to get as many pictures up as we can!!

Today was spent with some of the Widows and Orphans from the Healing Center.   Their faith is incredible.  These ladies are amazing.,…..they shared their stories of living through the genocide (and all the associated horrors), unknowingly being infected with HIV, losing their spouses, and the discovery that some of their children are HIV positive.   Needless to say, it’s been a very emotional day for all of us.

Tomorrow we leave Kigali and head to Eastern Rwanda.  We will look forward to posting some more tomorrow.  We love you all and miss you like crazy.  We also miss the beauty of drive-through meals.

Love,

Team H

Ry, Ky, and Kreg – How are my sweet boys doing?  Glad to hear from the neighbors that the house is still standing!!!  Not so glad to hear the laundry is piling up.  :-)    We thought about giving my UCLA shirt to one of the widows to wear, so that you’d see it every day, someplace in the picture.  Sort of like Flat Jack or Where’s Waldo, but ultimately, we decided against it because it’s too stinky.   Daddy, give those boys some lovies for me please……big hugs and kisses (with no cheek licking…..you know I don’t like that).  Love Mommy.

Isn’t it amazing how through Our Lord we can love everyone and anyone. It is obvious through the pictures of our love through Christ of our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Keep up the obviously fabulous work you are doing.

Hello there… not real sure what comments you are seeing. Some comments I make from home are not visible when I view from work… really odd… that’s why the repeat on the ‘Kyle and really long Sunday’. House is still standing, barely. The boys and I read the blog every night to see what you’ve done with the day. Trying to guilt your CSI team into writing. I told them you would fire them if they don’t start writing… ok, maybe not fire. Kyle told me this morning he wants me to go to Africa and get you, but said he can’t go to Africa until he’s really old like ‘Mommy and Daddy’. I did get him off the donut kick by going to Pizza Port last night… so of course, where does he want to go tonight??? Ry’s working on his last book report due Friday. Boys loved reading about the soccer gifts. Ry was jealous the kids stayed up all night playing soccer. Volvo’s in shop, again. Miss you lots, but keeping busy whittling down the huge ‘to do’ list you left for me! Don’t believe anything those pesky neighbors say… I mean after all, they have a USC flag outside their house. Hope you have a chance to rest at night and reflect on what you are accomplishing. Pretty awesome…

    Love you,

    Your boys ;-)

    Hi Suzanne!
Your pics are great. The villagers look so happy to have you guys there. Keep spreading the love. Sara says hello and she misses you. We are harassing Sean on your behalf so he won’t feel neglected. Tony has been sending us plenty of emails so we won’t feel neglected either. ;-) Gotta get cracking on LHHRP now. Bye!
